Gregory Nickerson is a writer and filmmaker for the Wyoming Migration Initiative, a project to document deer, elk, moose, and bighorn sheep migrations and share that information with the public. Originally from Sheridan County in north-central Wyoming, he studied the American West at Carleton College and earned an M.A. in history at the University of Wyoming. From 2010-2015 he worked as a journalist for the nonprofit news site WyoFile.com, serving as legislative reporter and writing general assignments. He has also worked as an associate producer for History Making Productions in Philadelphia, museum curator, ski instructor, hunting guide, and a volunteer for a Project Schoolhouse in Nicaragua. One of his long-term goals is to foster civility and civic vitality through storytelling.
